National Women’s Health and Fitness Day

Updated: Feb 8, 2023

Why do we need a dedicated day for Women’s Health and Fitness?

The significance of women’s wellness:

Women frequently prioritize their families over all else. Their own health frequently suffers as a result of this. For example, heart disease symptoms and signs are disregarded and misdiagnosed as mere exhaustion.

Therefore, the entire family is impacted if one of the family’s female members becomes ill.

Mothers, wives, and daughters are the cornerstone of the family. Typically, they are the ones who organize the menus, look after the young and old, and make a house a home.

A mentally or physically unwell woman finds it difficult to cope with society’s expectations. Suppose she is already suffering from stress and anxiety. In that case, this condition could make it worse and perhaps lead to depression affecting all those around her as well.

The International Women’s Day Pledge

This International Women’s Day, let all women commit to taking better care of themselves. Let’s make women’s health a subject we feel comfortable addressing.

Here are some health reminders from Dependable Care Staffing for women to follow all year long:

Eat a balanced and nutritious diet.

Exercise regularly.

Each night, get at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep.

At the very least, take a break from your daily schedule once per week.

Engage in an activity you genuinely enjoy.

Spend some time with your group of friends.
